Being a Topper: It’s More Than Merely Grades

My academic journey has been a consistent climb to the top. From my earliest days at a Hindi medium RBSE school to my final university days, I’ve always been the one leading the pack. This was true regardless of the changes in my educational environment, such as transitioning from a Hindi medium school to a prestigious English medium JNV school. Even getting selected for JNV is also the outcome of the same traits.

Being at the top has taught me the value of consistency and the importance of always striving to outperform myself. I learned to be disciplined and to always give my best in everything I do, a trait that I believe I have carried over into my professional life.

I recall a particularly challenging period during my third year of btech when I was mentally drained. Despite the difficulties, the desire to maintain my position gave me the strength to overcome my emotional struggles. Even though my grades were not at their highest, I still managed to come out on top.

Being a topper doesn’t inflate my ego, nor is it a badge to prove my superiority over others. To me, it’s a personal commitment, a promise to myself to always be ready for new challenges and to excel in them.

The discipline and consistency I have gained from this journey have become habits that I have no intention of changing or losing.
